More than 150 international architects on Architects@Amorim event

“Together Towards Sustainability” was the motto of the 2nd edition of the Architects@Amorim initiative that gathered at Amorim Revestimentos architects from 27 countries, such as Japan, Thailand, New Zealand, USA, Russia and several European countries. The event took place at the city of Oporto, between May 5th and 7th, reuniting more than 150 professionals.

Invited by Amorim Revestimentos, this group of architects gathered for a deeper knowledge about the cork industry and the new generation of flooring, Wise by Amorim, that has sustainability as the starting point.

Fernando Melo, CEO of Amorim Revestimentos, says, “Architects@Amorim was an excellent opportunity to bring to Portugal architects from all over the world, present future trends and promote the exchange of opinions. The initiative created networking moments and allowed us to listen to specialists from different markets, since their needs vary depending on their countries.”

The program included an Archi Tour, a guided tour through different architectural sites from the city of Oporto, namely Casa da Arquitectura, Piscinas das Marés, Serralves Foundation, Burgo Tower and Casa da Música.

The participants also had the opportunity to get to know Amorim Revestimentos flooring collections and they all were positively impressed by the amount of products in its portfolio with negative carbon footprint.

The event provided an opportunity for an important networking between these professionals from different nationalities that share an interest about cork, its visuals and comfort and concerns about sustainability.
